As mentioned before, I have this problem with wanting to know how everything is going to turn out. I always want someone to tell me where to go, how to go, and what to do when I get there so that I won't go splat.
But going splat is part of life. Stepping into the dark, moving without any knowledge of where your foot is going to land--that's human. We all have to do it, in order to learn. Expecting someone else to step in and guide us every step is neither reasonable nor safe.
So believe in yourself. Have faith that you can recognize what needs to be done—then have the courage to do it.
