In a few minutes, NaNoWriMo will begin. One month of crazy, one insane deadline. 2000 words per day for 25 days (since I don't write on Sunday).
I love it. Each year I've loved it (except last year, when I tried outlining) and I've always won.
I honestly didn't expect to be up this late, but now that I am I wonder if I should stay up those last few minutes and start writing at midnight. :)
I'll just read some more and see if I make it. If not, no big deal. But it would be nice to get a head start on tomorrow's writing.
My NaNoNovel: The Monster at the Heart of the Castle
The Monster at the Heart of the Castle is loosely based on a made-up fairy tale that was mentioned in one of my other novels.
The fairy tale the Monster at the Heart of the Castle is the story of a young prince who was deemed unworthy to take the throne and isolated in a chamber surrounded by poisoned water so that he could not escape. With the help of a clockwork eye, he has seen and manipulated the politics of the Kingdom for the last 500 years, but now, looking through his Eye he sees something he wants. He's going to try to take it.
Sounds interesting. Best of luck to you, not that I think you'll need it. May your November be productive!
ReplyDeleteIt's turning out quite interesting so far, although I'm not sure yet even who the MC is. Complications are piling up and I'm only into it 4000 words.
