So NaNoWriMo is over, which is a little sad but I find myself more relieved than anything. Right now I'm just editing--I'll get back to the writing when the finished books have at least the plot edit completed.
My brain did its usual thing and said "Hey, you've sent in a query letter, you're done now!" It doesn't want me to work toward this goal, it wants security. Like a lot of other people, it seems to think I just took a year off and I'll get back to my "real life" when this hiatus is over.
Irritating. I have to keep reminding my brain that stopping short of the actual goal is NOT ACCEPTABLE. So I finished ITAV (My writing group is going to review it now) and Undersea. Now I'm working on NOAWTM. I like that one.
So three that are finished but not edited, two in rough draft stage and six incomplete that I'm still working on. Most of these were started before August and I need to get them finished before...but starting new stories is more fun. :)
All right, brain, that's enough!
Note: I have to apologize for not responding to comments. For some unknown reason I can't respond to comments on my own blog without logging in, and when I log in and try to respond it logs me right back out.
I'm proud of you for doing rewrites and sending out a query letter. Hurray!
