Question for Insecure writers, or secure writers with an insecure bent

Is today yesterday, or the day after yesterday, or a day before tomorrow? What about the week? Who gave it permission to be the first week in February? In 2014, no less?

Life just goes too fast, and the older I get the more it accelerates.

This week I started a severe re-write of one of my older books. I'm still working on several new books and editing two. I'm looking forward to spring and looking back at everything I've accomplished. Looking ahead to the things I want to accomplish, but with no idea of how that will happen. One day at a time, I suppose, but how can I plan on a day at a time when they seem to be passing in flocks?

Flights? Somewhere in between?

If you gave this month permission to be February, please let me know so I can bop you on the head. I'm not even ready for January yet. Give me a few days, at least, to adjust.

  1. You've captured the real challenge of being a writer: endurance. Your success is so directly tied to being willing to stick with it even midst life's craziness. It's a one-day-at-a-time game for sure. :)

    1. But if I take one day at a time I have to catch the day first, and then I have to try to make it do what I want it to do. :)
