Open Horizons Award

We all have goals. Your goal may be no more complicated than waking up and having a positive attitude, but a smile from a friend sure makes a difference in achieving that goal.

No matter how far from your goal you think you are, you will achieve it if you believe you can AND you're willing to work for it. None of this "I think I'll sit here and wait for fame and fortune."

This is the Open Horizons award.

1 Link back to the person who gave you the award
2 Pass this along to five other people who are aiming for any goal
3 Give five people made-up awards that will encourage them and keep them focused on whatever goal they are currently aiming for. They do not have to be the same people who are given this award in your post, although if they have a blog or facebook you may want to note that. Add a personalized note to each to tell them WHY you chose them.

I am passing this on to several people who share my own goal (achieved or not):

Alice Beesley - Goal: Publication. She writes YA fiction
Jeff Hargett - Goal: Publication. He writes epic fantasy
Lynda Young - Goal: Publication. She writes YA fiction
The Golden Eagle - Goal: Publication. A teenage writer.
Elana Johnson - Goal: Publication. Whose new book Surrender is finally on the shelves!

And five made-up awards:

The Non-Blogger Award (also known as the Anti-Technology Award) is given to my muse. Obviously I'll have to tell her about this face to face. GASP!!!

The Putting Up With Me award to my parents (Ditto) Forty years of confusion, and you're still here! Thank you!

The Book-in-a-Month award to TheEnchantedWriter You achieved your goal! Now to the editing...

The Life-Being-Lived award to LifeWithMyAspie. Living life is difficult enough. You are a hero!

MayYourAppliancesNeverDie is awarded to TZ Wallace. May a plumber be ever on call and a computer specialist at arms length when you're at your wits end.

    1. You are officially a dork! Your muse is not pleased, and your muse will be getting back to you ON THE PHONE! Serves me right for reading a BLOG...

  5. I love my award, thank you. It will obviously be put to good use, since all of my appliances have revolted at once.
