Read "The Host" by Stephanie Meyer over the weekend. Actually I did it backwards – started with the last chapter, liked it, turned back a few more chapters, still liked it, repeat, repeat. Got about halfway through in a couple of hours – tonight I think I'll start from the beginning.
I do that sometimes with books that other people recommend – not that I don't trust them, but I don't want to be disappointed. If I get through a really good book and the end flops, I get angry. Not like throw things at people angry, just fuming and depressed. So I start at the end and read to the beginning.
